Dhansh's Vada Chennai, the trilogy, being directed by Vetri Maaran has started its shooting last month and the film is all about a North Chennai gangster and his life between the span of years 1977 to 2017. Actor Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in a cameo appearance. The cast also includes Daniel Balaji, Kishore (the antagonists).
The team is currently shooting for 1977 sequence, and the first part of the movie will likely hit the screens by early 2017.
Samantha was earlier appointed to act in the female lead role, but she has walked out for the reasons best known to her. Amala Paul may likely be roped in as the replacement.
