WILL 2.0 BE SHANKAR'S SECOND EVER?

Shankar’s magnum opus sci-fi film, sequel of Enthiran (Robot) is said to be shaping up pretty well. Shankar and his technical crew members recently completed an important schedule at Delhi Nehru stadium.

After a small break, the 2.0 team is likely to head to Bolivia for the next schedule. The makers are planning to wrap up the shoot part of the film soon as the film requires a solid one year plus time for the post production work.

A little birdie has now hinted to us that this Rajinikanth starrer might release for Diwali 2017. It must be noted that Shankar has so far had just one Diwali release (Mudhalvan) in his entire career spanning over 20 years. 2017 Diwali falls on October 19th, a Thursday. This would give the film a solid 4 day weekend.

But what are the odds of 2.0 release plans for Diwali 2017? The problem with festive days are it is bound to have competitors which is not an ideal release window for a billion buck film like 2.0. So will team 2.0 look for a solo release window similar to Enthiran which released on October 1st, 2010,  is something we will have to wait and see.
