After gaining huge appreciation for her mature performance in ‘Amma Kanakku’, Amala Paul is currently the lead heroine opposite Dhanush in the trilogy ‘Vada Chennai’ directed by Vetrimaaran.
Meanwhile the super hit ‘Velai Illa Pattadhari’ (VIP) is being remade in Kannada by Rockline Venkatesh in which superstar Ravichandran’s son , Manoranjan is playing the lead role made famous by Dhanush. The makers have roped in Amala Paul to reprise the role of Shalini in the Kannada version too and shooting is expected to begin soon.
