Hollywood divorces keep the media buzz ringing and more so when a high profile couple is involved. The fifteen month marriage between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard ended a few months back with Heard alleging her husband of domestic violence and counter allegations from the other side that the much younger actress was after the superstar’s money.
The divorce has been amicably settled with Amber Heard getting a one time payment of 7 Million dollars (close to Rupees fifty Crores). ‘The Danish Girl’ actress has immediately donated the entire amount to charity, one to the American Civil Liberties Union to prevent violence against women — and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.
Amber Heard as stated that "Money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves." A great gesture indeed.
