Making India Proud! - Bollywood Stars...

The 'East meets West' connection today seems to have soared up high in the air. After many years of great movies and stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, why is it that now Hollywood is taking notice of the glamorous Bollywood world?
Could it be the beauty that some of the newcomers possess, a la Aishwarya Rai? Or is it the strong culture and family values which pervade a certain innocence Hollywood no longer seems to maintain? Or is it merely the fact that they want a change?

Whatever it is, this bondage is growing stronger and stronger day by day. Factually, now both these industries seem to be the members of the 'mutual admiration club'.

Very earlier, Amrish Puri in Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, and as Khan in Gandhi, Om Puri in The Mystic Masseur, City Of Joy, East Is East and The Ghost And The Darkness, and Naseeruddin Shah in The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen have made Hollywood entries. But somehow the trend of B-town actors working on Hollywood didn't pick up as such.

Starting this forgotten trend all over again, the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan took the lead in beelining the journey of B-town stars towards Hollywood. Bagging back-to-back films in West not only bought fame and pride for our country but also lead to a firmer Bolly-Holly connection.Following which, Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan Khan, Nargis Fakri, Anil Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Anupam Kher, Tabu, Shabana Azmi made their presence felt in Hollywood.

And now, our own Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra (Baywatch) and stunning performer Deepika Padukone (xXx- Return of Xander Cage) is all set to launch their careers in Hollywood. Such stars making India proud? Certainly...
