Ileana D’Cruz Role in ‘Baadshaho’ totally Different Character

She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for the 2006 Telugu film Devadasu. She has appeared in hits such as Pokiri, Jalsa, Kick and Julayi, establishing herself as one of Telugu cinema’s leading actresses. In 2012, she made her Bollywood debut with Anurag Basu’s critically and commercially successful Barfi!, for which she received critical appreciation and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Actress Ileana D’Cruz says her role in the upcoming Baadshaho is completely different from anything she has done so far. The 28-year-old actress, who made her Bollywood debut with Barfi, says she hasn’t signed the contract yet and hence is keeping everything about the movie under wraps.
“I feel so weird talking about Baadshaho because I haven’t signed the contract yet. I had one meeting with Milan (Luthria) where we talked about for an hour, that’s it. I loved the film completely,” Ileana said. “If things play out well, it is definitely a role you have never seen me in,” the actress added.
Baadshaho stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta among others. Reportedly the film is set during the 70s emergency period and features the actress as a charming girl.
Ileana, meanwhile, will be seen in the upcoming Rustom which also stars Akshay Kumar. Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, “Rustom” is reportedly based on the 1959 Nanavati case where naval officer Kavas Maneckshaw Nanavati was tried for the murder of his wife’s lover, Prem Ahuja.
Akshay, 48, plays a Naval officer in the film while Ileana will be seen as his wife.
